ロシアの無人宇宙貨物船、打ち上げ失敗
国際宇宙ステーション(ISS)に物資を運ぶための無人宇宙船を搭載したロケットの打ち上げが失敗しました。
現在ISSには古川さんら6名が滞在中で、内3名は2011年9月8日に帰還が予定されているとのことですが、今回の事故で9月21日の交代要員3名の打上げは延期される見込みのため、3名の帰還も延期されるとみられるそうです。
次回の物資輸送は10月26日が予定されており、それまでに事故の原因が究明される必要があります。今回運搬予定の3トンの物資が失われたことになりますが、備蓄されている食料や水は6名でも1年間生活できるだけあり、またISSを安定軌道にとどまらせるための推進剤も1年以上持つとのこと。
ソユーズというと失敗が少ないロケットというイメージですが、今回でロシアの打ち上げ失敗は過去9ヶ月で5回目とのことでちょっと心配です。
